I Was There invites you to step inside the biblical story—not as an observer, but through the eyes of those who lived it.
Each day brings Scripture to life through first-person narratives from ordinary people who encountered the living God—often unexpectedly, sometimes reluctantly, always profoundly.
Told from the perspective of bystanders, servants, followers, and witnesses, these voices don’t offer polished sermons or theological arguments. Instead, they offer something more personal: presence, perspective, and honest reflection.
Designed as a 40-day devotional, each entry includes:
A short narrative rooted in Scripture
A passage for further reading
Thought-provoking reflection questions
A prayer section to help you respond personally
This is not a book meant to rush you through familiar Bible stories. It’s an invitation to slow down—to notice how God works through ordinary people, and to consider how He may be at work in your own life.
